On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi again stepped up his vote chori allegations agiants BJP and the Election Commission. He accused them of 25 lakh fake votes in the 2024 Haryana assembly elections. He said he had “100 per cent proof” that 25 lakh fake votes, about 12 per cent of all voters in the state, were cast. He claimed there was a planned effort to change a Congress win into a loss. Among the allegations, the most striking was about a Brazilian model who allegedly voted 22 times under different Haryanvi local names.

“Haryana has 2 crore voters, and 25 lakh of them are fake,” Gandhi said at a press conference in Delhi, adding that his team had uncovered 5.21 lakh duplicate voter entries. “One in every eight voters in Haryana is fake.”

Presenting a slide of a woman, the Congress leader claimed that she is a Brazilian model and said she has voted under different names like Seema, Sweety, and Saraswati, allegedly casting ballots 22 times.

“Who is this lady? What is her name? Where does she come from? But she votes 22 times in Haryana, at 10 different booths, and has multiple names: Seema, Sweety, Saraswati, Rashmi, Vilma… But turns out she is actually a Brazilian model,” he alleged.

“All exit polls pointed to a Congress victory in Haryana,” he said. “For the first time in Haryana’s history, postal ballots didn’t match the actual votes. This had never happened before. A plan was put in motion to convert Congress’ landslide victory into a loss.” Rahul said.

Launching what he called “The H Files”, Gandhi said the Election Commission was “working at the behest of the ruling BJP to steal votes”.

Bihar to Go to Polls Tomorrow

The opposition leader launched a scathing attack a day before the first phase of voting in the Bihar elections. Tomorrow, voters in Bihar will cast their ballots for 121 assembly seats.
