New Vande Bharat Train Launch: Indian Railways is gearing up for the launch of four new Vande Bharat trains, to be flagged by PM Modi in Varanasi on November 8, 2025. Once operational, the new semi-high-speed trains will cut down travel time between eight key cities. These Vande Bharat trains would be equipped with enhanced features to ease travel for passengers.
List Of 4 New Vande Bharat trains
The new Vande Bharat Express trains will operate on the following routes:
- Banaras–Khajuraho
- Lucknow–Saharanpur
- Firozpur–Delhi
- Ernakulam–Bengaluru
Banaras–Khajuraho Vande Bharat
The new Banaras–Khajuraho Vande Bharat will cut down travel time by about 2 hours and 40 minutes. It will connect Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Khajuraho, thus boosting religious and cultural tourism.
Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat
The Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat is set to revolutionize travel by covering the journey in approximately 7 hours and 45 minutes. It will reduce 1 hour of travel time, benefitting passengers coming from Lucknow, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Bijnor, and Saharanpur, while also improving access to Haridwar via Roorkee.
Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat
The Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat will be the fastest train on this route, covering the journey in just 6 hours and 40 minutes. It will enhance connectivity between Delhi and key cities in Punjab, including Firozpur, Bathinda, and Patiala.
Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat
In Southern India, the Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat will cut down travel time by more than 2 hours, covering the entire journey in 8 hours and 40 minutes. It will connect the major IT and commercial hubs between Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
