Delhi News Update: The opposition leaders condemned the Delhi blast that claimed 10 lives and left several injured near Gate no 1 of the Red Fort Metro station on Monday.

Congress MP and LoP, Rahul Gandhi said in a post on X, “ The news of the car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station is extremely heartbreaking and concerning. The report of the deaths of several innocent people in this tragic incident is profoundly sorrowful.

In this hour of grief, I stand with the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones and express my deepest condolences to them. I hope for the swift recovery of all the injured.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also shared her grief on the incident. She wrote on X, “Deeply shocked to hear about the tragic blast in New Delhi. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones and I pray for strength and a swift recovery for all those injured.”

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi wrote on X, “The news of the deaths of several people and injuries to many others in the explosion that occurred in Delhi is extremely heartbreaking. May God grant peace to the departed souls. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the swift recovery of those injured.”

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav demanded the best possible treatment should be ensured for all the injured. He wrote on X, “The Delhi blast is an extremely tragic and serious incident. It should be investigated from every aspect. To alleviate the fear that has spread in the country’s capital due to this blast, immediate security measures should be taken. Deep condolences to the deceased. The best possible treatment should be ensured for all the injured.”

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav posted on X, ” I have received the tragic news of the car explosion that occurred near the Red Fort in Delhi. Such an explosion in the country’s capital is alarming and distressing. I express my deepest condolences to those families who have lost their innocent loved ones in this painful incident, and I pray for the swiftest possible recovery of all the injured. In matters of national security—be it Pulwama or Pahalgam—we have stood firmly with the government. Nothing is more important than the security and sovereignty of the country. We urge the central government to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and to reassure the public through fair and transparent action, while teaching the culprits the harshest possible lesson. After all, how long will Indians live under the shadow of fear? Jai Hind!”

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin also shared his grief on the incident. He wrote on social media platform X, “Shocked and deeply pained by the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort that has taken several innocent lives. Visuals from the site are truly heartbreaking. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and my thoughts are with those battling injuries. Wishing them strength and a swift recovery.”

Union defence minister Rajnath Singh said in a post on X, “The car blast incident in Delhi is extremely painful and disturbing. At this moment of immense grief, I extend my sincerest condolences to the families of the deceased. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured.”
