Chandni Chowk Market Shut Down: Effect of Delhi Bomb Blast, Market to Stay Closed for THESE Many Days
Delhi Blast: Sanjay Bhargaw, president of the Market Association, has announced that the Chandni Chowk market in Delhi will be closed on Tuesday following a high-intensity explosion that occurred yesterday evening in the Red Fort area, resulting in 13 deaths and 24 injuries.
Red Fort Blast: Big Impact
The crowded Old Delhi area of the nation’s capital is home to both the Red Fort and the Chandni Chowk bazaar. The Red Fort is one of Delhi’s most-preferred tourist attractions, while Chandni Chowk market is one of the city’s biggest and oldest markets and a popular tourist destination. After the blast dead bodies and destroyed cars were all over the place, which happened at around 7 p.m. close to Red Fort Metro Station. According to Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha, there were people inside the “slow-moving vehicle that stopped at the red light” when the explosion happened.
Security Tightened, Area Sealed
The decision was made to close Chandni Chowk Market after a car explosion near Red Fort Metro Station resulted in ten deaths and several injuries. The strong explosion, which happened close to the Red Fort’s Gate No. 1, left streets covered in dirt, destroyed several cars, and created widespread panic. While firefighters and other emergency services continue to handle the aftermath and help victims, Delhi Police and the Special Cell have sealed off the area.
Delhi Blast: What Happened on Monday
A huge explosion in a car close to Delhi’s Red Fort claimed up to ten lives. A car caught fire, and three other cars were damaged when the explosion happened near Gate No. 1 of the Lal Quila Metro Station. At approximately 6:55 p.m., the Fire Department received an emergency call. In order to put out the fire and stop it from spreading, seven fire engines were sent out right away. The explosion caused alarm in the crowded surrounding area and was powerful enough to break streetlights.
Red Fort and Chandni Chowk are situated in a heavily populated part of Delhi. There’s a lot of people here right now because it’s wedding season, but if you were planning to head this way today, you should cancel because the markets are closed. The market at Chandni Chowk was in a state of extreme fear. All of the stores were closed today due to the shopkeeper’s panic. It’s unclear, though, how many days the market will remain closed.
