Millions of people commute daily by thousands of trains from one place to another. But do you know which train holds the title of being the fastest train in the country? Well, neither is it the traditional Rajdhani, Shatabdi express, nor the Vande Bharat train.

THIS Indian Train Is The Fastest In The Country

The modern Namo Bharat train covers a 55-km-long distance on the mentioned route, topping the country’s speed charts. According to reports, all the trains at present clock a top speed of 130 Km/hr, in contrast to the Namo Bharat train, which runs at 160 km/hr. The advanced technology and specific design make it possible for the Namo Bharat Train to cover the 55-km-long stretch linking New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and Meerut South.

Shocking AC Coach Fare!

The standard AC coach ticket fare from Delhi NCR to Meerut is around Rs 150, while the premium coach ticket costs between Rs 180 and Rs 225. These six-coach Namo Bharat trains run approximately every 15 minutes. NCRTC confirmed that once the entire corridor is commissioned, the Namo Bharat trains will cover the distance in less than one hour.

30 Namo Bharat Trainsets Operate Every 15 Minutes

At present, 30 trainsets of Namo Bharat are functioning along the route between Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar and UP’s Meerut South. These trainsets, each having 6 cars, run with 15-minute frequency from each station, reaching a speed of 160 km/h. When the 82.15 km-long entire route is completed, it will have 16 stations from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh.
