SHOCKING! Delhi car blast mastermind Dr Umar tried to groom Kashmiri youth as suicide bomber, but he backed off due to…, plan was to attack…
A big revelation came out in connection with the Delhi car blast that claimed 13 people’s lives on November 10. The “white-collar” terror module in the case was not only limited to Faridabad, but the prime accused, Dr Umar Un Nabi, who carried out the blast, had brainwashed a Kashmiri youth and persuaded him to become a suicide bomber.
According to reports, the sleuths found that the “white-collar” module was connected with terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH). Both outfits were busted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police after they held a group of doctors who were leading the sleeper cells. The group had also been scouting for a suicide bomber since last year, and Nabi was taking forward the agenda, news agency PTI reported.
Dr Umar was killed while carrying out the Delhi blast. He was in search of a suicide bomber to take his plans forward and carry out more terror operations. After the co-accused, Dr Adeel Rather and Dr Muzzaffar Ganaie, told the interrogators, the Srinagar Police held a youth from Qazigund in south Kashmir.
As per reports, the Kashmiri man has been identified as Jasir alias ‘Danish’. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science. He met the Kashmir-based doctors in a mosque last year in Kulgam. He was later brought to Al-Falah University in Faridabad and kept in a rented accommodation.
Jasir told interrogators that the other doctors wanted him to be an overground worker, while Dr Umar had another plan for him. He said that Dr Umar had convinced him to become a suicide bomber after trying to brainwash him for months.
Officials said he backed out from the plan this year due to his poor economic condition and his belief that in Islam, suicide is forbidden.
It has become more challenging for the officials to probe how the interstate terror network of JeM spread its roots in the state.
