Hubballi: College alumni arrested for uploading morphed photos of female students on Instagram

Accused Rajinikath, an alumni of Samarth Degree College in Hubballi uploaded morphed photos of college girls on Instagram using a fake account after the college management reportedly did not allow him to sit for exams.

Hubballi: The city police arrested a former alumni of Samarth Degree College for uploading inappropriate pictures of college girls on social media platform Instagram. The accused identified as Rajinikanth created a fake account on Instagram using which he uploaded pictures of college girls on the social media platform.

Rajanikanth created a fake account with the username Kashmira1990_0 on Instagram, morphed photos of Samarth Degree College girls, and uploaded them on the picture and video-sharing platform.

Last year, the college management did not allow Rajanikanth to write exams because he did not have the minimum required attendance to sit for exams. The accused uploaded girls’ photos on Instagram to damage the reputation of the college, Tv9 Kannada reported.

A case was registered by college girls under the cybercrime section after their photos were uploaded on Instagram. On Tuesday, ABVP and students held a protest march in Hubballi seeking action after girls’ photos were uploaded on Instagram.
