Spandana Vijay Raghavendra will be laid to rest at Harishchandra Ghat in Bengaluru
Spandana’s mortal remains were kept at her father’s residence till 2pm for public viewing. She will be cremated at Harishchandra Ghat in Bengaluru following a final procession ritual.
Bengaluru: Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra’s wife Spandana will be cremated at Harishchandra Ghat in Srirampur, Bengaluru in the evening. Actors, singers, and politicians paid their respects to Spandana at BK Shivaram’s residence in Malleshwaram. Kannada actors Yash, Shivaraj Kumar, Ajay Rao, Pooja Gandhi, Priyanka Upendra, Sharan, Master Anand, Vinod Raj, Amulya, Shilpa Ganesh, Ashwini Punith Rajkumar, Doddana, Vijay, Yuva Raj Kumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar, Sudharani, Girija Lokesh, Singers Vijay Prakash, Shamitha Malnad, Archana Udupa, Politicians including Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar, Kumar Bangarappa, UT Khader, BC Patil and others paid respects mortal remains at Malleshwaram.
“It is very sad that Spandana passed away at a very young age. I pray to god to give strength to her family to get through these sad times,” Actress Pooja Gandhi said.
Spandana’s mortal remains will be taken to Harishchandra Ghat, the final procession will go through Malleswaram 11th main road, Sampige Road Junction, KC General Hospital. The body will be at Spandana’s father’s house in Malleshwaram till 2pm for people to pay their final respects. Final rituals will be held between 2:30 to 3:30 pm. BBMP workers made preparations for Spandana’s funeral at Harishchandra Ghat in Srirampur, Bengaluru.
Spandana’s mortal remains reached Bengaluru on Tuesday 8 pm. The body was brought to BK Shivaram’s residence in Malleshwaram for public viewing. Spandana died in Bangkok on Sunday night while she was on a vacation.
The couple had planned to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary on August 16, TV9 Kannada reported. Spandana and Vijay Raghavendra married on August 26, 2007.
