Ramanagara: Two schoolchildren were killed after a speeding mini truck crushed them in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district. The accident took place on Wednesday near Gowdaradoddi village.
According to TV9 Kannada, the deceased – Shalini, 8, and Darshan, 5 – were returning home after attending tuition classes along with five other children. A speeding Tata Ace mini truck rammed into them.
An eyewitness said the deceased children suffered severe injuries to the head. The other five injured were being treated at a hospital.
A case has been registered at the Ramanagara Rural police station. Further investigations into the cause of the accident are on. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased children were moved to the morgue at the district hospital.
