AQI Improves To Moderate, Partly Cloudy Skies Expected On…; Will Poor Conditions Return? News24 –

Delhi Pollution: The air quality offered some relief to the residents after Delhi witnessed light rainfall last Thursday. As of 6 am on February 22, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 186 under the ‘moderate category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). This change in the air quality from poor to moderate marks a positive shift compared to earlier days of severe pollution.

However, the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi forecasts fluctuations in the air quality over the next six days, swinging between ‘poor’ and ‘moderate’. The India Meteorologist Department (IMD) observed a significant fall in minimum and maximum temperatures up to 02 to 3°C across the national capital during the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature was recorded between 26 to 27°C on February 21.

Partly Cloudy Sky Expected On…

With the minimum temperatures between 11 to 13°C, a mainly clear sky is expected with smog or mist in the morning and a partly cloudy sky thereafter on February 24. Additionally, IMD forecasts mist with no warning for thunderstorms and lightning till the 26th of February, 2025. Meanwhile, the ongoing restrictions under Stages I and II of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) are already in effect to prevent the AQI from further declining.
