Techie Jumps To Death From 12th Floor – What Led To This Extreme Step? News24 –


Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a 30-year-old software engineer jumped to death from the 12th floor corridor of his apartment. The incident took place in Kudlu, a neighbourhood in Bengaluru on Tuesday, March 4. He took the extreme step due to his health issues and losses in Startup businesses. His family were informed by the police. The deceased identified as Mayank Rajani had moved from Lucknow to Bengaluru in 2018. He worked as a software engineer in a company nearby his house.

What Led To The Extreme Step?

According to reports, Mayank had undergone surgery of spinal cord. Due to this, he experienced pain and was under medication. It is reported that he suffered mental distress at times. He lived with another techie and their families were aware of it.

His family were informed of the tragic incident by the police. Police informed that Mayank had jumped off from the apartment around 6 am on March 4. His bloodied body was found by the security guard after hearing a thud. Mayank’s girlfriend was asleep when the incident occurred.

Mayank’s family, in their complaint, stated that they don’t suspect anyone behind his death. TOI quoted a senior police officer who stated that Rajani sustained a loss in his startup business in which he had invested his savings and the money he borrowed from his family.

“Family members say he ended his life over setbacks he faced on his health and business fronts. We have taken up the case of unnatural death and are investigating,” the officer said.
