Man Strangles Woman, Ties Rock To Body, Dumps Her In Canal News24 –

New Delhi: A shocking incident recently emerged from Delhi’s Chhawla area, where a man allegedly strangled a woman to death following an altercation. The incident has caused a stir after the brutal crime came to light. According to reports, the accused, identified as Asif, killed the woman, Komal, a resident of Sundari Nagar in Seemapuri locality.

Accused Strangles Woman To Death

Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused, an old acquaintance of the victim, is a taxi driver by profession. In an unexpected turn of events on March 12, 2025, Asif picked up the woman from her place in his taxi. An altercation broke out between the two following which he strangled her to death. Reports mentioned that he tied the victim to a stone and later threw it into a canal.

Police Recover Victim’s Body

Police recovered the deceased woman’s body on Monday, March 17, as it emerged on the water’s surface after swelling up. Seemapuri Police had earlier filed a case of kidnapping after she went missing from her residence. Later, the Chhawla Police registered a murder case. The accused has been taken into police custody and his car has been seized. An investigation to find any other individual’s involvement in the incident is underway.

Jammu Man Brutally Attacks Wife

In yet another shocking incident that unfolded recently in Jammu’s Amb Gharota area, a man was arrested for brutally attacking his wife. Police said that the accused, identified as, Sadaq Hussain, allegedly assaulted his wife Noor Jahan. The incident came to light after a complaint was filed on March 9 by Nusrat Kousar from Pamali Jandyal against her father-in-law and three other individuals.
