IMD Forecasts Rising Temperatures, Gusty Winds Until April 5; Check Full Forecast News24 –


Delhi Weather Update: Delhi residents will experience hot weather on Thursday, April 3. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius today. Partly cloudy sky conditions have been forecast for the national capital. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its weather bulletin, stated that there has been no large change in maximum temperatures over Delhi-NCR during the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature is currently in the range of 36 to 38°C in Delhi. While the temperature is expected to rise, strong surface winds will prevail during the day. The speed of these winds range from 10-20 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 30 km/h.

Delhi Weather Update: No Heat Wave Until April 7

The IMD has issued no warning regarding heat wave condition in Delhi until April 7. While the temperatures have risen in the national capital, humid conditions and heat wave have not been reported yet. Notably, MeT defines a heat wave as when the maximum temperature in the plains reaches at least 40 degrees Celsius or is 5 degrees above normal. Therefore, heat wave warning will be issued when the temperature touches 40 degrees Celsius and remains 5 above degrees normal.

Forecast For Next Three Days

Talking about how the weather will be this week, IMD forecast tells us of rising temperatures. Delhi residents are expected to experience hot weather conditions over the next three days. The maximum temperature is predicted to reach 38 degrees Celsius on April 4, 5 and 6.

Sky Conditions: Clear sky conditions have been forecasted on April 4, 5 and 6 in the national capital.

Strong Surface Winds: Along with the rising temperatures, strong surface winds have been predicted for April 4 and 5. The speed of these winds is expected between 20-30 km/h occasionally gusting to 40 km/h on both three days. No heatwave condition is expected until April 7 in the national capital.

Essential Precautions For Delhi Residents

Amid rising temperatures, people are advised to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the effects of the weather. Residents should stay hydrated, cover themselves when going outdoors, and include water-rich fruits and vegetables in their diets. They should refrain from engaging in heavy physical activities during the day. As the temperature is expected to rise further, residents should stay cautious.
