Man Crushes And Smashes 5 Newborn Puppies To Death, Sparks Fury On Social Media News24 –
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a man killed five stray newborn puppies by smashing them against the wall and floor. He didn’t just throw them –he also hit them with rocks and crushed them under his foot in the apartment’s basement parking area. This harrowing case of animal cruelty was reported from Hyderabad. The incident took place at a residential apartment in the city. The man, identified as Ashish is a businessman and also a pet owner. He killed the puppies while walking his dog in the society premises. Police have registered case based on the complaint filed by residents. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday, April 14.
How Did The Incident Come To Light?
The incident came into light after it was recorded by CCTV cameras installed in the parking area of the society. Residents noticed the dead puppies with brutal injuries in the parking area and upon examining the footage, the cruel act came to notice. The man later admitted to killing the puppies when questioned. Reportedly, Ashish stated that he hated strays.
In the footage that has emerged, he is seen walking his dog. When the dog goes near to a newborn puppy, he picks it up and smashes on the floor. After throwing him, he sits down to check if the puppy is alive. He is further seen crushing the little one under his feet.
In another video, when he is confronted by residents, he is seen admitting that he killed the puppies. He stated, “I hit them with a rock and smashed them against the wall.” When asked if the puppies had harmed him, Ashish replied, “No”. As the video progresses, he is seen justifying his act. “I couldn’t control seeing the puppies near my dog so I used to keep them away using a stick,” stated Ashish.
He also admitted to having something against stray dogs. He was heard saying: “Sometimes, they bark and attack.”
Video Sparks Fury
The video has triggered outrage on social media. Netizens have called him ‘monster’and demanded strict action against him. A user wrote, “He should be sent to a mental illness hospital and should be lodged for lifetime there. I mean how can someone kill week old puppies. How dark his thinking would be to do such gruesome murder of 5 lives and we live in a country where killing humans is normal.” Another user added, “Inspite of being a dog owner, killed innocent puppies of street dog. This is just heart wrenching.”
Notably, acts of cruelty against animals are serious offences under Indian law, specifically the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
