Noida: Noida Police’s DCP Women Safety has suspended the sub-inspector and head constable. It is alleged that the sub-inspector and head constable were negligent in serving the court summons to the accused in the dowry harassment case registered in the women’s police station. The action was taken after a complaint was made to the DCP Women Security.
According to the police, a victim had filed a case against the in-laws in the women’s police station for dowry harassment and other charges. Upon investigation of the case by the police, the charge sheet was filed in the court. Notably, the case is pending in the court between the two parties. Summons were issued to the accused in the court recently in connection with the case. However, it is alleged that Sub Inspector Janardan Sharma and Head Constable Prashant Kumar posted in the women’s police station were negligent in serving the court summons to the accused.
Court Complained To police Officers
Furthermore, it is being told that due to their negligence, time was being wasted in the hearing of the case going on in the court. The court informed the police officers and it was investigated thereafter.
Departmental Inquiry Ordered
DCP Women Safety Suniti stated that both the policemen have been suspended for negligence in serving the summons. She added that Departmental inquiry is also being conducted for negligence in work.
