This week is expected to start with a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius and will rise by 1-0°C thereafter in Delhi. The day is going to be hot and humid on Monday, April 21. This week (April 21-27) will record maximum temperature in the range between 40-42 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its daily weather bulletin, stated that there has been no large change in maximum temperatures over Delhi during the past 24 hours. However, a rise in mercury levels is predicted for the coming days.
Forecast For Monday, April 21
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning and dust storm in the national capital on Monday. A maximum humidity level of 63 per cent has been predicted along with partly cloudy sky conditions towards evening. Occasional sustained surface winds with speed 10-20 km/h will prevail over Delhi. There is little relief for residents as no heatwave conditions have been forecast for today.

Talking about how the weather will remain for the remainder of days, the IMD forecast tells us of rising temperatures. The temperature is expected to touch 40°C on Tuesday and remain in the range of 40-42°C thereafter. Mainly clear sky conditions have been predicted until April 25. The IMD has not issued any alert for heatwave this week, which is a thing of relief for Delhiites.
Delhi hasn’t seen an extreme temperature so far. While there have been heatwave conditions in the national capital, the maximum temperature hasn’t exceed 42°C.
