Mumbai On Alert After Pahalgam Terror Attack, Sea Security Tightened News24 –

Authorities put Mumbai along with its surrounding neighborhoods under high security status after a terrorist attack at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir claimed 26 lives. Security alerts exist for all beaches located near Mumbai. The Mumbai Police received orders from the Maharashtra Home Department to boost maritime surveillance while enhancing public security protocols, therefore responding to the highest number of casualties since the Pulwama attack during 2019.

The security authorities implemented extra measures to strengthen coastal observation while working to stop secondary threats after the Pahalgam terror attack. The Resistance Front which splintered from Lashkar-e-Taiba has taken credit for this violent incident. The tragic shooting caused national alarm and prompted entire touristic groups to leave the Kashmir Valley.

During a speech today Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised that terrorists together with their conspirators will experience a punishment exceeding all possible expectations.

During his Madhubani rally in Bihar Prime Minister Modi used English to reinforce his message in order to warn the international community that India would not forgive such attacks against its national spirit.

I stand at Bihar’s territory to tell the world that India will track down all terrorists together with their supporters for punishment. We will hunt terrorists throughout the entire extent of the Earth. Terrorism cannot defeat the Indian spirit because it is too strong for any such attack,” he declared.

The PM cut his Saudi Arabian visit short when the terror attack occurred as he arrived back to Delhi at dawn on Wednesday. Following his Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting the Prime Minister established a five-point diplomatic initiative targeting Pakistan as a neighboring country.

India declared the Indus Waters Treaty to be suspended if Pakistan fails to provide both credible and unalterable termination of its backing for terrorist activities across borders. The government will execute its political response through border closures at Attari-Wagah and by decreasing High Commission staffing levels while under diplomatic decree making all Pakistani delegates in Delhi unwelcome.
The Saarc visa exemption scheme becomes unavailable to Pakistani nationals when traveling to India. New Delhi has today issued a universal visa revocation that extends even to Pakistani medical visa holders.

Starting April 27, 2025 all existing legitimate visas for Pakistani nationals have become invalid. There is now a short time frame assigned to medical visas even though they historically received humanitarian extensions. These visas will remain valid until the date of April 29, 2025.

The government of India blocked any Pakistani national from getting visas since they announced the total visa suspension which includes refusing to process further applications.
