The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, strong surface winds. While the weather will be relatively cooler, the maximum temperature is likely to remain in the range of 34-36°C today. A maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius has been predicted for Sunday. The IMD in its weather bulletin, stated that there has been rise marked rise in maximum temperatures over the national capital. Delhi has been experiencing thunderstorms, rain and strong winds over the past few days.

Very light to light rain accompanied with thunderstorm/lightning and strong surface winds is expected in Delhi. Moreover, there is a chance of wind speeds increasing temporarily up to 30-40 kmph during the thunderstorm. A yellow alert has been issued for the weather conditions in Delhi. Therefore, the week is likely to end with pleasant conditions on Sunday.

Strong surface winds with speeds increasing up to 30-40 kmph during thunderstorms, have been predicted until May 6. The maximum temperature is likely to remain in range 31-36 degrees Celsius.
