Man Bites Off Landlady’s Finger During Altercation Over Rs 5,000; Arrested After Daughter Files Complaint News24 –

Hyderabad: In a disturbing incident that took place on May 17, 2025, a man reportedly bit off a woman’s finger following a heated altercation in Hyderabad. According to the Police, the bizarre incident occurred over a monetary dispute. The accused, identified as an employee (26) working at a private firm, was arrested after a complaint was filed against him by the victim’s daughter.

Why Did Accused Bit Off The Woman’s Finger?

The accused and his wife were said to be tenants at the apartment of the woman (45). The victim, along with her daughter, vacated the house a month ago, Madhura Nagar Police said. Reports stated that the house owners were to pay Rs 30,000 to the accused couple as part of a chit fund business. The couple was told that an amount of Rs 5,000 will be deducted and the remaining amount will be funded to them. The landlady gave the reason that one of their known persons had earlier rented their house and did not pay the rent.

Accused Arrested And Sent To Jail

Following this, an argument broke out between the house owner and the couple. During the scuffle, the accused bit off the woman’s finger, and a part of it fell on the ground. The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, but doctors later told her that the portion of the finger that was cut could not be attached. This is when the woman’s daughter launched a complaint with the police against the couple. Police arrested the man and sent him to jail.
