21-Year-Old Man Dies By Suicide After Father Couldn’t Afford BMW Car News24 –

Telangana: In a shocking incident that took place on Friday in Telangana’s Siddipet district, a 21-year-old man reportedly died by suicide. According to reports, the man took the extreme step after his parents failed to buy him a BMW car. His parents, who work as agricultural labourers, were allegedly pressured by the deceased to buy him the luxurious car.

The young man had completed Class 10 and joined his parents in agricultural work. The Indian Express quoted a Sub-Inspector as saying, “His parents own two acres of agricultural land. He had been unemployed after discontinuing studies. He wanted a better life with a modern house and a BMW car. He had been pressuring his parents for a while and got addicted to alcohol.”

Based on the father’s complaint, it was learnt that the man had threatened his father with suicide if he did not buy him a BMW car. He even explained their financial situation to his son. Reports further stated that the father visited a car showroom with him and offered to get him a Maruti Swift Dzire. However, he was disappointed.

Things took a tragic turn on Saturday when, around 3.30 pm, the man tried to die by suicide. Following the incident, he was immediately taken to a government hospital but was later transferred to RVM Hospital. He was, however, declared dead that night. Meanwhile, a case has been registered under section 194 of the BNS.
