Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm and rain on Thursday, June 5. Delhi has been experiencing light showers over the past few weeks. Light rainfall was reported at some places accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds on Wednesday. The current weather condition in the national capital is a result of an active western disturbance and the upper air cyclonic circulation over South Punjab and neighbouring areas.
The pleasant weather conditions over Delhi have brought respite to residents from the scorching heat. According to the IMD, there has been an appreciable fall in maximum temperature over Delhi. The maximum temperature is currently in the range of 34-35°C in the national capital.
Weather Forecast For Thursday, June 5
Delhi will see a mild day, with rain and thunderstorms expected today. The maximum temperature will remain at 35°C, providing relief from the heat. Partly cloudy sky is likely on Thursday with gusty winds prevailing at speed of 40-50 kmph. While there has been a significant decline in the maximum temperature, increasing humidity level is expected to make the weather uncomfortable for Delhiites. A humidity level of 71 per cent is predicted for Delhi.

June 7: Partly cloudy sky has been predicted with no rain forecast. The maximum temperature will remain 39°C.
June 8: The sky will remain partly cloudy with maximum temperature at 39°C. Strong surface winds will prevail during day time.
