Rajasthan Blends Yoga And Tourism, Turns Heritage Sites Into Majestic Yoga Venues- Full List Inside! News24 –


International Yoga Day will not just be an ordinary celebration of physical and mental health in Rajasthan this year. The state government is presenting the occasion as an opportunity to promote tourism. For the first time on this 11th Yoga Day, which is going to be held on the theme “One Earth, One Health”, mass yoga programs are being organised at famous tourist and religious places of Rajasthan.

The objective of the government is clear, which is to make people who come to stadiums and parks to do yoga, including tourists visiting religious sites, aware of Yoga.

13 Spots Designated In Jaipur

In capital, Jaipur, mass yoga practice at 13 major religious and tourists places will be held. These include include Jaipur’s revered deity Govind Dev Ji Temple, Jaigarh Fort, Albert Hall, Hawa Mahal and SMS Stadium. Apart from this, a large number of people will be seen doing yoga at many places.

Reportedly, 3000 people will be seen doing yoga together at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, 1000 at Jal Mahal, 700 people at Jawahar Circle, 600 people at Central Park, 600 at Birla Temple, 500 at Amer Fort, 100 people in front of Hawa Mahal, 200 people in Galta Ji Temple premises, City Palace: 200, 200 in Govind Dev Ji Temple premises, 100 people at historic Jaigarh Fort, 200 people in front of Albert Hall and 200 people at City Park Mansarovar. Special arrangements have been made for the common people present at these places as well.

Rural Areas To Join In Yoga Day Celebration

Yoga programs will also be held in rural areas around Jaipur. These places include Jamwai Mata Temple (Jamwaramgarh), Sheetla Mata Temple (Chaksu), Shakambhari Mata Temple (Korsina) and Dadu Dham Temple (Narena).

The main program will be held in Jaisalmer, where Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will perform yoga with school children and locals. He has also instructed ministers and MLAs to organise yoga programs at crowded and popular places so that people can join it in large numbers.

In Jaipur, more than 2.51 lakh people will perform yoga together. It is being said that some records can be made during this program. For the last one week, several Yoga instructors have been going to different places and teaching yoga to people.

Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message on Yoga Day will be broadcast live at all these places through projectors and TV screens.

This initiative of the state government is being considered a big step towards connecting tourism, culture and health together. It is expected that this model will also become an inspiration for other states of the country.
