In a shocking development, a Palestinian flag was spotted waving during a Muharram procession in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. This incident follows several disturbing events reported during Muharram processions across various districts of Bihar, including in Sitamarhi and Motihari. According to an NDTV report, participants were also seen waving fake guns during the procession. NDTV also reported that the police have started an investigation into the waving of the Palestinian flag. The investigation team is closely reviewing the Muharram processions across the state. It is reported that a few processions also witnessed outbreaks of violence and clashes between groups. The incidents have left a trail of injuries and heightened tensions.

Unrest In Motihari

Meanwhile, violence was also reported during Muharram in Motihari, Bihar. After the Tazia procession, people of one side attacked people of the other community, in a young man was killed. In a tragic incident following a Tazia procession, a clash between two communities in Kankatti Bazaar, Kothiya Hareram Panchayat of Mehsi, resulted in the death of a young man a day ago. The victim, 32-year-old Ajay Yadav, was killed, and two others were injured in the attack, allegedly fueled by old rivalries. The injured have been referred to SKMCH Muzaffarpur for treatment. The incident occurred on Sunday at 7 PM, with reports suggesting a sword was used, though police have denied this claim. Twelve suspects are in custody and under interrogation.

According to the information, Ajay Kumar suffered a serious head injury during the dispute. Due to this, he died. While Naval Kishore Rai and another person were injured. In this regard, SP Swarn Prabhat said that on Sunday, a fight broke out between two parties in Kankatti village of Mehsi over a previous dispute. In which a youth from the other party died and one is injured. The police took immediate action and detained two persons at night.
