CA Ends Life After Being Blackmailed Over Obscene Video, Names Accused In Three-Page Suicide Note News24 –

Mumbai: A suicide case of a 32-year-old Chartered Accountant in the Yashwant Nagar area of Santacruz (East) in Mumbai, Maharashtra has shocked everyone. He died by suicide on Tuesday by consuming poison, allegedly after being blackmailed into paying Rs 3 crore over a private video. A three-page suicide note was recovered from the scene by the police, in which he named two individuals, Rahul Parwani and Saba Qureshi, responsible for his death.
The deceased, identified as Raj Leela More, was reportedly fed up with the harassment and took the extreme step. According to the Vakola police, an FIR has been registered against the two accused, including a woman, under sections of extortion and abetment to suicide.
The investigation revealed that the accused had extorted approximately around Rs 3 crore from Raj over the past year by threatening to leak his private video.
Raj’s mother stated that he had been under mental stress for several months. According to the police, the accused were aware that Raj had invested heavily in the stock market and earned a good salary as a chartered accountant in a reputed company.
What Does The Suicide Note Mention?
In the three-page suicide note, Raj mentioned that the accused forced him to transfer a huge amount of money from his company’s accounts by threatening to make the video viral. Moreover, it is being reported that they had forcefully acquired a luxury car from Raj.
He addressed his mother in the suicide note and apologised to her. He appealed to his family to take care of themselves. Raj also sought an apology from his colleagues for breaking their trust, and also mentioned about a “fraud”. He requested that no action to be taken against his colleagues. The last page mentions the names of the accused, stating that they had manipulated” and “blackmailed” him for months.
He added that he was forced to break his savings and steal money from his company’s account to pay them.
According to NDTV, Raj wrote in the note, ““Deepa Lakhani, today I have no words to apologise, because I broke your trust. But believe me, this was the last time. I had no intention to break your trust. Whatever fraud I did, I did it myself; no one came to know anything. I did not manipulate the statement (account). Shwetha.”
