Delhi Weather Update: Delhi continues to enjoy a spell of pleasant weather, due to continuous rain and cloudy skies. After experiencing moderate showers on July 10, the national capital woke up to a cloudy sky on Friday morning. These monsoon showers have brought much-needed relief to residents from the intense heat earlier this week. There has been a significant in maximum temperatures over the past 24 hours, following Thursday’s rainfall. The maximum temperatures are currently in the range of 28-31°C respectively.

The weather forecast for Friday, July 11 indicates a cooler day with rain accompanied by thunderstorm predicted for the day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD)has predicted that very light to light rain, along with occasional thunderstorm or lightning, is likely to continue across the city today. A humidity level of around 95 percent is predicted, while the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 32°C. The sky will generally remain cloudy throughout the day.

No specific alert has been issued by the IMD for Friday; however, residents are advised to keep checking the official website, as alerts are sounded after assessing the live weather developments.

Delhi’s weather is expected to remain pleasant but cloudy over the next couple of days. Residents are likely to experience light to moderate showers over the weekend, as weather conditions remain favourable for rainfall. In addition, an upper air cyclonic circulation over north Haryana and neighbouring areas will continue to influence the weather in Delhi, by enhancing the cloud formation and rain activity. The daytime temperature is expected to remain in the range of 33-35°C, while humidity level will range between 80-90 per cent on the remainder days of the week.

While the weather remains pleasant, residents are advised to stay updated with local advisories and take necessary precautions during thunderstorms and heavy rain. They should avoid sheltering under trees, stay indoors during lightning, and remain alert for waterlogging in low-lying areas.
