Delhi Weather Update: Capital Braces For More Rain; IMD Warns Of Week-Long Showers

Delhi Weather Update: Rain lashed parts of the national capital on Sunday evening, offering respite from the hot and humid conditions. However, the heavy downpour resulted in severe waterlogging in some areas, triggering chaos and traffic disruptions. In view of the ongoing situation, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in many places, warning of incessant rains.

According to the IMD’s latest forecast, a wet spell will continue to batter Delhi-NCR this week. The weather body has predicted that the sky will remain partly cloudy today, with light to moderate rain expected across the city. Residents are urged to avoid low-lying areas such as ITO and Firoz Shah Road and to plan their travel accordingly. Flight diversions were reported yesterday at IGI Airport due to low visibility and stormy conditions.
