Good News! Bengaluru Metro To Offer Free Feeder Bus Services From Yellow Line To Electronic City Tech Hubs News24 –


Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) has launched a free feeder bus service for the convenience of employees working in the IT sector, which will connect nearby metro stations to offices located in Electronic City. The authority says that this initiative will provide relief to thousands of passengers and also reduce their travel time.

This decision has been taken after the recent launch of the Yellow Line Metro service. In this regard, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has also said that through the Yellow Line, IT professionals will get the option of fast and convenient travel, which will also reduce traffic jams. This metro route connects Electronic City to some important areas of the city, which will make commuting easier.

Bengaluru: Travel Will Be Easier With Feeder Bus Service

This feeder bus service will be operated between Electronics City Metro Station (EC1) and Infosys/Konappana Agrahara Metro Station (EC2), as well as between major office locations of Electronic City.

According to ELCITA, the service will be available from Monday to Friday every week, and will operate from 8 am to 8 pm, a total of 12 hours.

The buses will ferry passengers to and from the main office hubs of Electronic City.

For the convenience of passengers, the live location of the buses can also be tracked through the ELCITA Citizens App.

ELCITA also gave this message in its announcement: “Let’s make sustainable and stress-free travel our new habit.”

BMRCL says that the launch of the Yellow Line Metro has significantly improved regional connectivity. The ridership of Namma Metro has seen a significant increase in the last few days. According to the authority, about 50,000 passengers have already traveled on the Yellow Line in the first few days, and the frequency of metro trains will also be increased soon.
