Four Killed, One Injured As Fire Guts Electronics Store In Raja Garden News24 –


At least four people were killed and one was injured after a massive fire broke out at an electronics store in Delhi’s Raja Garden area on Monday. The engulfed the second floor of Mahajan Electronics under PS Moti Nagar around 3 pm. According to Delhi Fire Services, five fire tenders were rushed to the site to bring the blaze under control.

‘Four people fell unconscious due to the smoke and were rushed to a nearby hospital by a CATS ambulance,” an official said. A firefighter was also injured during the rescue operation. While the situation is now under control, an investigation is underway. The cause of the fire remains unclear as of now.

A similar incident was reported in Delhi last Thursday. A massive fire broke out at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Ten fire tenders rushed to the spot to contain the spread. The blaze engulfed the Mother and Child Block of AIIMS. The Delhi Fire Service said that no casualties were reported in the incident. AIIMS officials also confirmed the reports of the fire, stating that it did not result in any fatalities.

Patients and staff were safely evacuated from the affected area, and routine medical operations were maintained or resumed where possible. The blaze damaged certain sections.
