BESCOM Power Cut Update: Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has issued a notice for a planned power cut due to emergency power work in multiple areas on Friday, August 29. Areas which will be affected include Indira Nagar (between Lake Road and 100 ft Road), Manjunath Nagar, RajajiNagar 2nd Block.

Due to emergency maintenance work by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited Index (KPTCL) on Friday, the power supply in the 66/11 KV Mahalaxmi Layout Substation area will be interrupted from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.

The IMD has warned that from August 29, heavy rain is likely over the coastal belt and in the regions overall after August 28 until September 2. The IMD has issued an ‘orange’ alert for multiple areas across the state until August 29, including Malnad, north interior, and south interior Karnataka. It is predicted that wind speeds for the north interior districts will be between 30-40 kmph until August 28 and the same is also expected in the southern interior districts until August 29.
