Bengaluru Weather Update: Heavy rain lashed parts of Bengaluru on Monday evening, causing significant traffic disruptions. Amidst this, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more showers accompanied by thunderstorms to batter the city within the next 24 hours. As per the latest weather update, gusty winds travelling at a speed of 30-40 kmph would hit parts of the IT city tomorrow.
The Met Department has predicted a generally cloudy sky in Bengaluru until the morning of September 3. Residents can expect light rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) in the city till Wednesday. Temporary disruption of traffic is also likely due to waterlogging in roads, uprooting of trees, or breaking of tree branches.

According to IMD, Bangaloreans will wake up to a generally cloudy sky accompanied by light rain till September 5. Thereafter, the city will continue to witness rainy conditions till September 7, 2025.
Amid the ongoing rainy conditions, parents and students are speculating whether schools will remain shut in Bengaluru on September 2, 2025. Schools will continue to operate normally as there is no official announcement on the closure in the city.
