Schools Closed In Noida, Ghaziabad On September 3 Due To Heavy Rainfall; Check Update For Delhi News24 –


In view of continuous rainfall, all schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad will remain closed on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The Ghaziabad district administration has announced the closure of both government and private schools. The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff members. Heavy rains lashed Ghaziabad and Noida on Tuesday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for both the districts.

The official order, issued under the direction of Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar, and enforced by Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) O.P. Yadav states that all the schools and colleges will remain closed on September 3.

“In view of the extremely heavy rainfall in Ghaziabad and to ensure the safety of students, a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions up to Class 12 on September 3, 2025. Strict compliance with this order is mandatory,” the directive stated.

Schools Closed In Noida

Similarly, the Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration has also ordered the closure of schools, as the district remained under yellow alert on Tuesday, September 2. Schools in Noida and Greater Noida will remain closed tomorrow i.e. Wednesday, September 3. The order has been issued under directive of District Magistrate Medha Roopam, enforced by the District Basic Education Officer Rahul Panwar.

Are Schools Closed In Delhi?

As Delhi also remains under the spell of continuous rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms throughout the day, parents and students are concerned about whether all government and private schools will announce school closures due to the bad weather. Whether schools will remain closed on Wednesday in Delhi remains uncertain, as an official notification is yet to be issued. As of now, the Delhi government has not announced ​​​​any holiday in the region. However, in light of the current situation and adverse weather, the government may announce school closure for tomorrow.
