The clip shows a red SUV driving along a busy road when a child pops out of the sunroof and stands through it. The kid, enjoying the ride, is unaware that an approaching overhead barrier might hit him on the head. As the car continues to move forward, the child is struck on the head.
Towards the end of the clip, the car moves forward, and the boy, now conscious after the impact, ducks back into the car.
The video sparked outrage online, with many users blaming the adults in the vehicle for allowing such dangerous behavior.
Reacting to the clip, one user wrote, “Hope the child is safe. Parents are responsible for such accidents. Not sure why sunroofs are even allowed in India. They need to be banned.”
Another user wrote, “This could be a warning to all those who drive like this, with their children’s and friends’ heads popping out.” A slew of other users raised concerns about parenting, saying that while the kid was just being playful, the parents should have made him aware of the dangers of such behavior while driving.
