If you’re planning to stay out overnight to visit pandals this Puja, the Kolkata Metro will now make your journey easier. Metro services will run almost 24 hours a day during the main festival days, making travel within the city and its surrounding areas extremely convenient.
Special Metro Arrangements During Navratri
Keeping in mind the festive rush, the Metro Railway has extended service hours on several routes and has decided to run the metro all night. For the first time, the Blue Line (Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash) and Green Line (Howrah Maidan to Sector V) will operate all night on Saptami, Ashtami, and Navami, i.e., September 29, 30, and October 1.
Blue Line (Dakshineswar – Kavi Subhash):

During Durga Puja 2025, Kolkata Metro will run night-long services till 4 AM on key days to handle the festive rush.
To avoid crowds, the Metro administration has requested passengers to use smart cards, tourist smart cards, or the ‘Aamar Kolkata Metro’ app and enter through mobile QR tickets.
