Following the incident, the deceased’s family protested, prompting heavy police deployment in the area. Senior officers arrived at the scene and spoke with the family.

Tejpal, the deceased’s father, said, “My son was a mechanic. He was murdered very close to the police station, less than ten steps away. He worked in front of the Seelampur Metro Station. This is the 10th or 11th murder here, with one occurring approximately every two months.”

Police said the juvenile accused has been arrested and the knife used in the murder has been seized. Forensic evidence has been collected from the scene. Officials said the motive behind the murder is being investigated and eyewitnesses are being questioned.
