Man Dies By Suicide, Alleges Family Harassment In Video News24 –


In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man died by suicide in Maharashtra’s Palghar. The man had recorded a video in which he alleged harassment by his wife, in-laws, and father.

According to PTI, the deceased has been identified as Babu Vitthal Parande. Police have registered a case against his wife, in-laws, and father. Parande was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence in Parasnath Nagari, Naigaon, on September 25.

A senior police official said that before taking the extreme step, he recorded a video message in which he allegedly accused his wife, in-laws, and father of persistent harassment.

The man’s brother shared the video clip with Parande’s wife, father, and in-laws. He lodged a complaint with the police, claiming that the man was harassed by his wife and in-laws with false charges and assaults.

The Naigaon police registered a case against wife, father, and in-laws under sections 108 (abetment of suicide) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Five killed, five injured in head-on collision between two cars in Haryana

Five people were killed and five others were seriously injured after a head-on collision between two cars on the Kurukshetra-Kaithal road in Haryana on Monday morning, police said.

The accident occurred around 7 am near the Gharadsi village. Police said both vehicles were travelling at high speed when they collided, leaving the front portions of the cars completely damaged.

“Out of the 10 people travelling in both vehicles, five passengers of the Maruti Swift car, all residents of Yamunanagar, died on the spot. The sixth passenger of the car is also critically injured. Four people travelling in the Tata Harrier sustained serious injuries,” police said.

Locals rushed to the spot after the collision and broke open the windows of the vehicles to rescue those trapped inside. Police reached the site and sent the bodies for post-mortem at LNJP Hospital.
