Survey nears completion, Greater Noida Authority aims to complete THESE works in 1 Year News24 –

Greater Noida News: The land acquisition, survey, and relocation work for the Bodaki Terminal being built in Greater Noida is expected to be completed within the next year. Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has prepared a plan for the project. The survey work is approximately 90 percent complete, but the relocation process will take more time, as farmers’ consent is being sought. The Bodaki Terminal will be a multi-modal hub, where passengers can access train, metro, and bus services under one roof.

Being designed as NCR’s gateway to the eastern India, the Bodaki Terminal is set to become one of north India’s most modern transport hubs, capable of handling 100 trains, including Vande Bharat and other premium expresses. Spanning 46 hectares within a larger 176-hectare multimodal transport hub, the station will feature 12 platforms and 63 yard lines. While the ground floor will accommodate railway operations, the upper storeys will house commercial spaces.

70 trains to eastern states

70 trains will operate from the Bodaki terminal to eastern states, with the majority headed for Bihar. Currently, no express trains stop at this location. Major trains of the Northern Railway stop at Dadri, leading to overcrowding at Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, and New Delhi stations. The opening of the Bodaki terminal will benefit 3.5 million residents of the district, who currently have to travel to Ghaziabad or Delhi to catch trains. The terminal’s inauguration will provide much-needed relief.

Online meeting with the Railways

On Tuesday, the Greater Noida Authority held an online meeting with railway officials. The meeting discussed objections to the survey and other issues. It was decided that the project will be completed within the next year.

Social Impact Assessment Survey

Recently, District Magistrate Gautam Buddha Nagar, Medha Roopam assured the farmers that a social impact assessment survey will soon be conducted to assess the impact the project will have on the lives of the villagers. Further decisions will be made based on the assessment.

1685 Crore expenditure

The construction of the Bodaki Railway Station will cost Rs 1,685 crore. A three-year target has been set for its construction. Following the target, work has accelerated. The survey will be completed soon.

What did the ACEO say?

Greater Noida Authority’s Additional Chief Executive Officer ACEO, Srilakshmi VS, stated that their focus is on completing the survey and relocation work within one year. Land acquisition for the relocation is underway. The administration is also conducting the survey and the work will be completed soon.
