Chennai: An unexpected event unfolded in Chennai on Tuesday morning after a metro train abruptly came to a halt in a subway due to a power failure. Commuters heading towards the Wimco Nagar Depot were forced to walk on the railway track after the metro stopped inside the tunnel between Central and High Court stations.
The stranded passengers in the train stuck in a subway had no other option left than to walk towards their respective destinations. Chennai Metro Rail’s Blue Line, which runs between the Wimco Nagar Depot and the Airport, faced a technical glitch during the early morning hours.
