Wicketkeeper Sanju Samson gave fans a sneak peek of a special jersey that Team India might wear during their felicitation ceremony and open-top bus parade in Mumbai. The Rajasthan Royals captain posted a photo of the uniquely designed blue jersey from their hotel in New Delhi.

The T20 World Cup champions returned home on Thursday in a chartered plane. The capital city was celebratory as thousands of fans gathered at New Delhi airport to give Rohit Sharma and his team a heroās welcome.

After displaying the trophy to fans at the airport, the India team arrived at the ITC Maurya hotel in New Delhi. The victorious 15-member squad, along with the Rahul Dravid-led support staff, will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi before heading to Mumbai for a grand felicitation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium. Rohit Sharma and his teammates will also participate in an open-top bus victory parade along Marine Drive.
The players are expected to wear the special champion jersey during the parade and ceremony. In the photo shared by Sanju Samson, the Team India jersey features a second star above the BCCI logo, representing their second T20 World Cup title. India won the first edition of the tournament under MS Dhoniās captaincy in 2007. The word āchampionsā is also printed on the front of the jersey.
Rohit Sharma emerged from the airport holding the T20 World Cup trophy. Chants of Virat Kohliās name filled the air as hundreds of fans welcomed the team. Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav even danced to the beat of dhols outside the team hotel, where a special cake-cutting ceremony was arranged.
