First Look Of The Open-Top Bus Made For Team India, See Video

The first look of India’s open-top bus, which will carry the Indian team during the victory parade near Marine Drive and the iconic Wankhede Stadium, has been revealed. Mumbai is preparing for the mega event, marking July 4th as a historic day when the entire nation comes together to celebrate Team India and their feat.

Mumbai All Set For Team India Victory Parade

The open-top bus, adorned in shades of blue, features a large poster of India lifting the T20 World Cup trophy. The front of the bus proudly displays “Champions 2024.”

The Maharashtra Cricket Association has also announced free entry for fans at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Gates 2, 3, and 4 of the iconic stadium will open at 4:00 PM, allowing fans to enter and celebrate India’s World Cup victory. The Indian team is set for a victory lap in Mumbai, departing from Delhi. Fans are expected to turn out in large numbers in Mumbai, aiming to recreate the scenes from India’s 2007 victory parade. Rohit Sharma and BCCI secretary Jay Shah have also encouraged fans to join in the celebrations of India’s T20 World Cup win after 17 years.

The Indian team arrived in India early on July 4th, Thursday, with their Air India chartered plane landing in Delhi from Barbados. India’s heroes received a rousing welcome as fans gathered in large numbers at the Delhi airport during the early hours. Rohit Sharma raised the coveted trophy as he made his first appearance as India’s World Cup-winning captain. The airport buzzed with chants of “Team India” as the World Champions arrived with gold medals around their necks. The team then headed to ITC Maurya in Delhi for a grand cake-cutting ceremony.
