Ind Vs Eng: Men In Blue Won By 4 Wickets, Check Highlights, Man Of The Match, Scorecard Of The 2nd ODI


England won the toss and elected to bat first. After winning the second ODI at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium India has now won the ODI series as well. India won the first ODI at Nagpur with a marginal four wickets victory and the second ODI with 4 wickets again. India was in a total control of the match since the Indians came out to bat and comfortably chasing a target of 305 runs.

Fireworks From Batters

Rohit Sharma stood out and was awarded as man of the match with his monstrous 119 runs innings in 90 balls with a strike rate of 132.22. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer seems promising. Shubman Gill scored 60 runs in 52 balls while Iyer scored 44 runs in 47 balls. Speaking of England’s bowling Atkinson, Adil Rashid and Liam Livingston took one wicket each while Jamie Overton took two wickets.

Indian Bowlers

Ravindra Jadeja played a fabulous innings with the ball by taking three wickets, sparing just 35 runs in 10 overs. Meanwhile pacers Md. Shami, Harshit Rana and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each and the debutant Varun Chakravarty was also blessed with one wicket. Axar Patel gave a helpful hand with the bat at the end. India will now step into the third ODI with a lot of pressure released at Ahmedabad, Narendra Modi Stadium.

Focus On Champions Trophy

The series is turning out to be a pretty good warmup for the Indians as well as the English. Champions Trophy which is scheduled for 19th February to 9th March will be an event to watch out for as artilleries from both the sides will be fired by the cricketers with their bats.
