SRH Conquered Chepauk By 5 Wkts News24 –

Another tough night at Chepauk, and one that might just be the tipping point for Chennai Super Kings this season. While they’re not mathematically out of the playoffs yet, today’s defeat their fourth in a row at home paints a bleak picture. CSK’s fortress is crumbling, and tonight’s loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad only underlined the problems that have been piling up.

This isn’t just any defeat it marks the first time ever that SRH have managed to beat CSK at Chepauk in six attempts. That stat alone says a lot about how far the tables have turned this season.

Chepauk, once a stronghold for CSK, has now witnessed four home losses this year, the joint-most in any season for them, matched only by the 2008 and 2012 campaigns. But here’s the kicker: this time, it’s come in just five matches.

SRH didn’t exactly start off with fireworks, but Ishan Kishan dug in and steadied the innings. Kusal Mendis chipped in with valuable runs, and Nitish Reddy provided a neat finishing touch. But if we’re talking turning points, look no further than that absolute screamer of a catch from Mendis at long-off. Brevis was looking dangerous set, in rhythm, and ready to explode—but Mendis turned the game with a moment of magic that’s hard to put into words. You could feel the air go out of the stadium after that.

For CSK, it’s a gut check. There’s still a technical path to the playoffs, but the performances, especially at home are raising serious questions. For now, SRH stay afloat, and Chennai are left clinging to faint hope.
