Afghanistan all-rounder Karim Janat made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and it turned into complete nightmare after he conceded 30 runs in single over. This is not the first time he has had an upsetting outing in India.
In a T20I match against India in Bengaluru, Karim Janat conceded 36 runs in only over and now in his IPL debut he conceded 30 runs against Rajasthan Royals.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 6,4,6,4,4,6 in his over and let the bowler in complete distraught, the 14-year old prodigy scored a century and became the youngest player in T20 format to achieve the feat.
Karim Janat was brought in for INR 75 lakh during the IPL mega auction in Jeddah. The 28-year all-rounder has 2494 runs in 160 T20 matches which included two centuries and nine fifties. Going further he also has 118 wickets with an economy of 7.82.
Vaibhav smashed a century in just 35 balls and in the IPL history he is now just behind Chris Gayle as the second fastest player. Interestingly, no other player under the age of 18 has ever achieved a T20 century before. He is also the 7th Indian teenager to have scored a T20 ton after Rohit Sharma, Devdutt Padikkal and Manish Pandey. At an age of just 14 years and 32 days old, Suryavanshi became the youngest player in the history of men’s T20 cricket to have scored a century.
