CSK Vs RCB: Royal Challengers Defeated Super Kings In A Nail-Bitting Competition By 2 Runs, See Scorecard
RCB scored an intense two-run victory against CSK at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in their IPL 2025 match on Saturday. RCB leader Rajat Patidar achieved a two-run victory against CSK bringing his team to first place with 16 points after playing 11 games.
During their batting turn RCB achieved 213/3 runs owing to a secure start and an unforgettable finish phase. The match belonged to Virat Kohli who made his 62 in 33 balls with five sixes and five fours supplemented by Jacob Bethell who scored his 55 in 33 balls with two sixes and eight fours. The opening partnership totaled 97 runs before the batsmen used that base to launch a massive strike.

Romario Shepherd emerged as the match hero by smacking 53 runs without being dismissed from his 14 ball inning which ultimately swung RCB towards victory. His six massive sixes during the penultimate over from Khaleel Ahmed together with 33 runs scored him joint second position for fastest half-century in IPL history and helped RCB exceed 210 scores.
CSK made an honorable pursuit yet ended only slightly short of success.
The CSK batting lineup demonstrated tremendous resistance during their innings. Youngster Ayush Mhatre came out swinging in his striking 94-run performance using 48 balls, including a terrifying Bhuvneshwar Kumar over that awarded boundaries to every delivery. Ravindra Jadeja, alongside him, provided defensive support with his 77 runs from 45 balls. Through their third wicket partnership, CSK secured 115 valuable runs against RCB.
A decisive over from Lungi Ngidi ended both Mhatre’s and Brevis’s batting careers, restoring RCB’s position in the match. The match requirement was 12 runs in the last over so Yash Dayal demonstrated steady form just like his performance from last season’s death overs. His well-placed yorkers together with low full-tosses, led Dayal to secure the victory by removing MS Dhoni for the second time. The improved death bowling unit of RCB was displayed by Suyash Sharma when he delivered a vital 18th over with a wet ball.
