Rohit Sharma’s Wankhede Honour Postponed To May 16 Due To THIS Reason News24 –

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced that the Rohit Sharma Stan at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is now rescheduled to be inaugurated on Friday May 16 at 4:00 PM IST instead of May 13 (today).

Reason For Changing The Date Of Inauguration

This date change took place due to the increasing hostile relations along the India-Pakistan border. In order to manage and ensure safety, the BCCI suspended the league for a week. With a ceasefire agreement in place now, normalcy is restored, and IPL will be back on May 17 when the RCB vs KKR clash will be on. When MCA held its 86th Annual General Meeting on April 15, MCA decided to name one of the stands in Wankhede Stadium after Rohit Sharma.
