Heated Confrontation Between Abhishek Sharma & Digvesh Rathi

Following the dismissal, Digvesh let loose with his trademark notebook celebration and exchanged a few words reportedly with the combative left-hander, as it did not go down well with the latter. Abhishek, agitated, walked towards the bowler as the two players stepped into each other’s path during a furious standoff before the on-field umpires managed to douse the situation. Later, post-match handshake, the two were observed to continue the chat, with Abhishek still visibly irked until their coach Vijay Dahiya intervened to chill him out.

SRH Knocks LSG Out Of Playoffs Race

Amidst all the histrionics, Abhishek had set Hyderabad’s run-chase of 206 in motion with a furious 59 of just 20 deliveries, filled with six sixes and four fours. Digvesh was the only bright spot for Lucknow in terms of bowling with two crucial wickets Abhishek and Ishan Kishan.

LSG got of to a strong start with Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram forming a strong partnership, but the SRH bowlers made a solid comeback and limited the team at the score of 205. Sunrisers were already out of contention and they dashed LSG’s hopes to qualify. Abhishek Sharma scored 59 off 20 balls followed by the vital contribution of Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen and Kamindu Mendis. While Lucknow’s batting was again dependent on Nicholas Pooran who scored 45 off 26 balls.
