No DRS For Rest Of PSL 2025, Fans React With IPL Comparisons! News24 –

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 will continue without the use of the Decision Review System (DRS), following its earlier suspension due to escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan. According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, the Hawk-Eye technology team, responsible for operating the DRS, did not return to Pakistan after the tournament resumed, resulting in its continued absence for the remaining matches.

Despite the lack of DRS, the five fixtures played since the league’s restart have proceeded smoothly, without any significant controversy. So far, neither the Pakistan Super League management nor the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued an official statement regarding the system’s non-availability.

Rising diplomatic tensions between the two neighboring nations had disrupted the league’s logistics, causing schedule adjustments and operational challenges. In an effort to reduce travel and the movement of technical equipment, a match originally planned in Multan was relocated to Lahore. Additionally, the production crew had to extend their stay in the country to accommodate the modified calendar.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I Series Adjusted

The Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I series, initially slated to begin on May 25, the same day the PSL final is now scheduled—has also undergone changes. The PCB announced a revised itinerary, confirming that the series will now start three days later, on May 28, and be trimmed from five matches to three.

The Bangladesh team is expected to land in Lahore on May 25, where they will prepare for the series with training sessions scheduled for May 26 and 27. The matches will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Notably, Pakistan will be without some of their most experienced campaigners for this series. Former captain Babar Azam, senior wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, and star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi have all been rested from the 16-player squad named for the three T20Is.

PSL Playoffs: Quetta Reach Final, Karachi to Face Lahore in Eliminator

In the playoff stage of the PSL, Quetta Gladiators secured a place in the final for the first time since 2019 with a comprehensive 30-run win over defending champions Islamabad United on Wednesday. United still have one more opportunity to reach the final – they will play the winner of the Eliminator between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars, scheduled for Thursday at the Gaddafi Stadium.

The final is set to be played on May 25, and with no DRS and logistical adjustments in the backdrop, the tournament moves toward its conclusion under challenging circumstances, but without major disruption on the field.
