Ever since Marca has reported that the Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo might play for Wydad Athletic Club at the upcoming Club World Cup, Moroccans have been excited about the the sport. Because the club has now qualified for the June 14 to July 13 tournament which will be happening in the United States, they are able to explore the possibility of signing Ronaldo whose currently playing for the Saudi club Al-Nassr which is not taking part in the championship.
A Subtle Hint In The Teaser
The club’s social media account released a video showing a Portuguese flag which fans took as a clue about Cristiano Ronaldo. It’s enough to set off a round of speculation. Nevertheless, I suspect this letter wants to publicise a major friendly game with FC Porto, happening at the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca on May 31st. As he is under contract with Al-Nassr until June 30, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will soon be a free agent. An extension has still not been confirmed. On Monday, Al-Nassr won their last league game before the final day, but they are already guaranteed third place in the league overall. Currently, fourth put, the Saudi club could end up missing the Asian Champions League.

Ronaldo’s Potential Participation Sparks Buzz Ahead Of Club World Cup
RMC Sport reports that FIFA is keen to have Cristiano Ronaldo take part in the new Club World Cup which includes 32 teams, a first for the tournament. If Cristiano Ronaldo was like Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, it would be a wonderful way to promote the whole event. To begin the tournament, Wydad Casablanca will take on Manchester City on June 18, then play Juventus on June 22 and close the round against Al Ain on June 26. As of now, Cristiano Ronaldo himself has not confirmed what he will do, so the rumour keeps fans talking.
