PBKS Star Arshdeep Singh Remembers His Dream IPL Game! Is It Related To Mumbai’s…. News24

Ahead of Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) crucial Qualifier 2 match against Mumbai Indians (MI), pacer Arshdeep Singh reflected on one of his favorite moments in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He recalled his impressive four-wicket haul against the five-time champions during a high-scoring encounter in the 2023 season.

For Shreyas Iyer and his in-form PBKS squad, it’s now or never. After topping the league stage with nine wins from 13 matches, they are eager to bounce back from their heavy eight-wicket defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Qualifier 1. A win in this match will set up a title clash with RCB at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

Speaking to JioHotstar and Star Sports, Arshdeep named the 2023 game against MI as his standout performance. Defending a total of 215 runs, he dismantled Mumbai’s batting lineup with figures of 4 for 29. A memorable highlight was when he shattered the middle stumps of Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera on consecutive deliveries.

“That match is very close to my heart,” Arshdeep said. “It was also around the time I made my IPL debut. Chasing over 220 runs, I took four wickets, and we secured the win at Wankhede Stadium.”

Discussing how he handles pressure, Arshdeep expressed that he enjoys the trust his team places in him during high-pressure moments. “I try not to feel the pressure and instead enjoy those moments, aiming to deliver the best results for the team. Sometimes it doesn’t go perfectly, but I focus on coming back stronger in the next game to help the team win.”

Looking ahead, Arshdeep is focused on helping Punjab Kings win their first IPL title. “This season, my goal is to contribute to Punjab’s success and build a lasting legacy for the team in the years to come,” he added.

So far this season, Arshdeep has played 15 matches for PBKS, taking 18 wickets at an average of 24.11 and an economy rate of 8.62. His best bowling figures this season are 3 for 16.
