Now that Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings (RCB vs PBKS) are facing off in the final of the Indian Premier League, experts continue to make predictions about who will be crowned the new champion. In this context, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has named Punjab Kings as the winners, but in a very unique style. Though Sehwag openly picked RCB as the winner, his old ‘unlucky formula’ still secretly points to Punjab.
Sehwag 🎙
I supported Punjab in Q1, they lost. Then I supported Gujarat in the eliminator, they lost. Then I supported Mumbai in Q2, they lost. So now I’m supporting RCB (laughs). pic.twitter.com/Y5L9Oar8be

In a conversation with Cricbuzz, Sehwag said, “I think RCB will be the champions. I’ve gone back to my old pattern because whichever team I support ends up losing. Whether it was Gujarat vs Mumbai or Punjab vs RCB.”
Sehwag added, “I’m trying to use the same ‘old formula’ for this final as well. In Qualifier 2, I supported Mumbai against Punjab, but they lost. Now I’m saying RCB will win—so let’s see what happens.”
In short, even though Sehwag is openly supporting RCB, his ‘formula’ clearly suggests that Punjab will be the winners.
