‘By The Time I Hang Up My Boots I Want To…’ Virat Kohli Lays Down His Aim Before Retiring Completely From Cricket News24 –

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won their maiden IPL title after match against Punjab Kings in front of a crowd of 91,000 people. Kohli, the unshakeable heart of the franchise, has been inextricably linked with RCB from the dawn of the IPL and has been with the same team since then.

RCB Wins IPL 2025

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended their trophy drought and won their first ever IPL title under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar. This was his debut season as captain and Patidar achieved what seemed to be impossible for many other legends. In the IPL Final against Punjab Kings, RCB had set the total of 190 runs and even though PBKS got a strong start, RCB bounced back in from the jaws of defeat and etched their name as winners of IPL 2025 season.

Virat Kohli On His Retirement

After RCB won the title, Virat Kohli opened about his time left in cricket and what he wants to do before he retires completely.

“I know I don’t have many years left in the game. But by the time I hang up my boots, I want to look back and say I gave everything. I still want to field every ball, chase down everything, be more than just an impact player. That’s who I am. I was blessed with the talent, yes — but more than that, I was blessed with perspective.”

Virat Kohli mentioned that even though he has been blessed with talent but one thing that he has is perspective through which he sees the game. He opened up about how he wants to give his 100% and be more than an impact player in the team.

RCB Bowlers Lead The Team Towards Victory

PBKS played exceptionally well and restricted RCB at the target of 190 but the RCB bowlers outshined everyone with Krunal Pandya, Yash Dayal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking the charge at the right time. The Challengers clinched the title with a narrow margin of 6 runs as Shashank Singh’s efforts were in vain despite hitting Josh Hazlewood for 6,4,6,6 in the last over of the match.
